Put to production…

Creativity exploring fine arts, crafts, and textiles through themes of production informed by industry experience and economic theory.

Production Framing Practice

I have a strong interest in learning how items are made. This shows up in a traditional sense in material exploration of my quilts or my personal makings of art and fashion. Beyond tangible making skills the process of making as a practice of production requires a more critical view on the combine labor that is just as much a part of how items in the modern world are made.

Repetition as a mode of production vs artistic practice

Through supply chains repetition is standard as part of everyday assembly lines and requirements of production orders. This piece and production of fans explores the labor intensity of the repetition required by capitalist industry and the mass of what is produced.
